The Itinerary
Day by Day Experience

Day 1
Arrive In Nairobi
On arrival in Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to a local Lodge, a charming retreat on the edge of Nairobi National Park. Settle in, refresh after your travels, and enjoy your first dinner in Kenya, with time to unwind and adjust to the new time zone.

Day 2
Relax + Optional Experiences
Today is dedicated to exploring Nairobi according to your interests, with activities curated in advance (for example, visits to local conservation projects, craft markets, or cultural sites). Return to the Lodge in the late afternoon to relax by the fire or on the terrace, followed by dinner at the lodge.

Day 3
Scenic Drive to Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, depart by road through the Great Rift Valley towards Lake Nakuru, continuing on to the Naivasha area. On arrival at Mbweha, you will have time to settle in before heading out for a guided walk on Crescent Island, taking in the scenery and viewing plains game on foot. Dinner is served at the lodge this evening.

Day 4
Lake Nakuru National Park
Spend the day on game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park, renowned for its rich birdlife and resident populations of rhino, big cats, and plains game. Your guide will tailor the timing of your drives to maximise wildlife viewing while allowing time to return to Mbweha to relax between activities.

Day 5
Soysambu Conservancy
Today you explore the private Soysambu Conservancy, enjoying the flexibility and exclusivity that a private reserve affords. With your guide, you will search for wildlife in varied habitats and soak up expansive views, returning to Mbweha for meals and a tranquil evening.

Day 6
To Nanyuki – Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, depart by road towards Nanyuki and the renowned Ol Pejeta Conservancy. On arrival, check in at Le Rustique and take time to relax, then head out for an introductory game drive in Ol Pejeta, where you can begin to discover its high densities of wildlife and strong conservation focus.

Day 7
Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in Ol Pejeta, known for its excellent sightings of rhino, big cats, and other iconic species. Today you may also opt (at additional cost) to participate in the special Northern White Rhino experience, offering a rare opportunity to learn about this critical conservation effort up close.

Day 8
Nanyuki to Samburu National Reserve
Depart Nanyuki by road for the scenic 4.5‑hour drive to Samburu National Reserve, watching the landscape shift as you travel north into Kenya’s more arid, dramatic terrain. On arrival at Elephant Bedroom, settle into your tented suite and later head out on your first Samburu game drive, followed by dinner overlooking the river.

Day 9
Samburu National Reserve
Today is devoted to exploring Samburu National Reserve on game drives, seeking out the region’s unique “Samburu Special Five” alongside elephants, big cats, and abundant birdlife. Between activities, relax at Elephant Bedroom and enjoy the lodge’s peaceful setting.

Day 10
Samburu National Reserve
Continue your discovery of Samburu with further morning and afternoon game drives, tailored to your preferences and wildlife interests. This final full safari day offers time to revisit favourite areas, savour lingering sightings, and enjoy a last evening under the African sky.

Day 11
Safarilink flight to Nairobi
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your Safarilink flight to Nairobi. On arrival, you will be assisted with your connection to your onward international flight, bringing your Kenyan journey to a close.
