Masterfully Planned Experiences was founded by Alison McMaster, a lifelong explorer whose love of travel began long before it became her profession.
Raised north of Boston, Alison crossed the Atlantic often as a child and, as a teenager, spent a transformative month working in a remote Bolivian tile factory. That experience taught her resilience, humility, and the thrill of stepping into unfamiliar cultures, qualities that still guide her work today.
Her wanderlust deepened during college when she lived and studied abroad in London and Sydney. Weekends spent traveling across Europe and Australia opened her eyes to new perspectives, sparked an endless curiosity, and transformed her passion for travel and adventure into a lifelong calling. Those months abroad cemented her belief that the world is best understood through immersive experiences and meaningful connections.
Alison’s professional path began in international publicity at 20th Century Fox, where she mastered global logistics and high-stakes planning. Later, years designing board-level corporate incentive travel reignited her passion for the magic of small, well-curated journeys, where authentic experiences and shared discovery create lasting impact.
